As an SAP program manager you will be at the heart of Microsoft's business and be a part of one of Microsoft's most successful showcases: SAP on the Microsoft platform. The Program Manager will be responsible for driving the re-engineering of business processes and development of SAP solutions. This person will perform project management, project plan, technical analysis, application design, and configuration management. Interaction with business users, the SAP development team, program management and product management will be required.
The Microsoft implementation of SAP is a large-scale enterprise solution featuring SAP R/3, SAP e-recruiting system, BW and SQL Server, Windows .NET Server and Exchange from Microsoft Corporation. The individual hired for this position will implement SAP system solutions for Human Resource processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Program Manager is an Individual Contributor role encompassing program delivery and technical depth in a matrix organization.
On a tactical basis, this position is responsible for working with Business partners; understanding requirements, creating functional specifications for the business needs, prioritize the requirements, plan for delivering the project in a timely manner with available resources without compromising on quality, design, configuration and overall delivery of the project and beyond.
For the strategic part - enhance the project capabilities by continuous improvements & innovation; develop strong partnership with business and other groups, globally.
Other ongoing tasks would also include ensuring communications are seamless, escalations, risks and issues are well managed; interact with senior management for presentations as required.

- Facilitation of the quarterly SAP change management process - duties include review of Business requirements analysis, participation in specifications/test plan review, unit testing and implement to production
- Understand and improve processes/interfaces with SAP’s upstream and downstream applications
- Deliver excellent service and support to internal business customers and partners worldwide. Position will be responsible for monitoring progress against service level agreements. Position is responsible for ensuring each reported problem is resolved in a timely manner, tracked according to standards, and escalated as appropriate
- Responsibility for solving medium to high complexity issues, and communicating problem resolution and additional information to customer groups, project teams and other IT support groups
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key Business users to deliver reliable, supportable business solutions
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with SAP ABAP development team to evaluate and implement new functionality on a quarterly basis
- Work independently within established guidelines and procedures
- Extended coverage outside of normal work hours may be required
Qualifications Should Include:
- At least 6-7 years of experience in SAP Human Resource module with experience in project management/configuration in multiple end to end implementation and roll out including global projects in – E Recruitment (ERec), Organization Management(OM),Personnel Administration (PA),Personnel Development(PD),Time Management(TM),US Payroll(PY), US Benefits (BN),
- Implementation experience in E-Rec module would be desirable.
- Working knowledge with Webdynpro technology would be added advantage.
- A demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems in a system environment.
- An understanding of Microsoft products, software lifecycle methodology and information systems development and support .
- Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Must have demonstrated customer service skills.
- Must have ability to independently exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
