The ASM SAP Team at Microsoft is responsible for running SAP R/3, APO, BW, and GTS on Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, and Exchange platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with expertise in SAP and Microsoft technologies. As an individual contributor, the successful candidate will be part of the growing India SAP support team that will deliver projects and support for SAP HR modules.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver excellent SAP service and support to internal customers in Microsoft
• Analyze and solve reported issues and bugs, work with SAP, track and monitor status of issues to meet all service level agreements
• Communicate causes, solutions and other additional information to impacted customer groups, SAP project teams and other non-SAP IT support groups
• Implement bug fixes to resolve issues without compromising the stability of the system nor impacting a worldwide round-the-clock user group
• Work closely with other functional groups such as BASIS team to resolve cross functional issues
• Effectively communicate technical issues in a clear and non-technical manner to the business users
• Facilitate SAP quarterly release process - by which new functionalities and system changes are applied systematically to the production system. Duties include thorough review and understanding of business requirements; review and approval of technical specification documents, SAP configuration and technical changes; review and participation in test planning and execution; and post production support of these changes
• Balance the need to implement realistic, stable and practical changes to the SAP production environment while still meeting new and complex business requirements and objectives of other IT groups
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with Business Unit implementation teams, ABAP development team and BASIS team to analyze, configure and deliver solutions to the business
• Work on new projects to bring new business streams onboard Microsoft SAP system
• Take initiative to identify and execute projects to enhance the system and increase its supportability and performance. Execute operational change requests to reduce repeated support issues and other manual support tasks.
Qualifications:
• Computer Science/Technology, Accountancy or other related IT or Business degrees
• Minimum 5-6 years of demonstrated support or implementation experience in SAP R3 with very strong functional configuration knowledge and experience primarily in SAP HCM with E-recruitment.
• Good understand of SAP HCM(PA, OM, T&M, Payroll and E-recruitment)
• Experience in supporting or analysing any of the following HCM modules of SAP R/3 – Personnel Administration(PA),Organizational Management(OM), Time Management(T&M), Payroll(PY-US) and E-recruitment(PA-ER).
• Additional knowledge in one of these areas would be highly preferred:
o SAP EHP4
o SAP ALE/EDI IDOC
o SAP Archiving
o SAP RFC
o SAP Web Services
o Debugging skills on Webdynpro
• Strong technical knowledge of ABAP4 / debugging skills and SAP Script
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Excellent customer service skills with superior written and oral communication skills
• Team player who can work independently within established guidelines and procedures
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making while balancing conflicting objectives of business and IT groups
